Lead Engineer – Steel

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer – Steel Structures with in-depth knowledge of British Standards, Eurocodes, and working familiarity with AISC codes. The ideal candidate will possess practical experience in Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM coordination platforms such as Navisworks, BIM360, and BIM Collab. You should demonstrate proven leadership in guiding technical teams and collaborating directly with clients on complex structural projects.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, modeling, detailing, and review of sophisticated steel structures.
Ensure all project outputs meet BS, Eurocode, and AISC compliance requirements.
Review and approve models, fabrication drawings, and connection details for technical accuracy and constructability.
Supervise, mentor, and develop engineers, modelers, and BIM technicians to achieve high-quality project delivery.
Collaborate effectively with clients, consultants, and cross-functional teams to maintain seamless coordination.
Conduct and lead technical discussions to address design challenges and coordination issues.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
10+ years of relevant experience in steel structure design, modeling, and quality checking.
Strong command of Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM tools such as Navisworks, BIM360, and BIM Collab.
Deep understanding of BS, Eurocodes, and AISC standards.
Demonstrated ability to manage teams and deliver international projects (UK, EU, or US markets).
Excellent communication and client interaction skills.
